Meet the Founder
Brian C. Weddington, CFA
Brian is a seasoned financial executive with more than two decades of experience leading across corporate finance, investment banking, strategic advisory, and asset management. His career spans leading institutions like Moody’s Investors Service, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of New York. He founded Katoma Partners to bring enterprise-level financial leadership to small and mid-sized businesses that need strategic clarity, not just accounting support. As a fractional CFO, Brian helps founders and executive teams navigate growth, complexity, and high-stakes decision-making with confidence.
He also serves as Chief Investment Officer of Diamond Tree Partners, a private investment firm he co-founded, focused on high-potential opportunities in consumer products, media & technology, and real estate.
Brian holds a B.S. in Management of Information Systems from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Brian serves on several nonprofit and for-profit boards. Brian is based in New York City.
